Coming Back

Coming back to blogging after a long time and will start with one of my favorite topic and team Manchester United. Last week was a great week for us. We won the match against Wigan Atheletic convincingly and Gunners and Blues lose some important point on the way and also Rooney started after a long time after the fiasco made by him and his agent and I hope his heart and mind both will be in Man Utd this time and he will stop worrying about the future of Man Utd till Sir. Fergie is there.

Recently I came across an article in Cricinfo which was truly hilarious. The Manchster United fans in India are going to support MAN U in the Cricket WorldCup to be held in India. They are not totally bothered about Cricket or Football but Man U. Truly inspiring. In their words every team in the world except Manchester United sucks, maybe it is true except Indian Cricket Team.

The last One Week taught me a lot

The last seven days were the most anxious days of my life and it taught me lot about life and how precious it is. My friend’s father suffered an cardiac arrest while he was in Bangalore and next seven to ten days was an experience I never going to forget. His Bi-Pass surgery is over now and thanks a lot to Allah he is doing good now. Last night we celebrated his birth day and it was a sweet moment for all of us.

Was that a war crime....

Come 6^th and 9^th august and we all remember the twin atomic bombing on Hiroshima and Nagasaki but the point is that why we had not considered it as a war crime by U.S. or the then president Harry Truman. It’s not a war crime because U.S. dropped the bomb and the allied powers were the winner in WW – ii but let me think in another way, suppose Germany had developed two nuclear war head before U.S. and Germany had dropped one bomb, say in New York and other one in Washington and then they would have lost the war. I am sure, then the dropping of bombs would have been considered as the war crime and all those people involved would have been sentenced in the Nuremberg trial.

U.S. always maintains a double standard in its foreign policy. They took the help of Afghan warriors to drive the Russians out from Afghanistan and in the process Taliban was created. For a long time they ignored the Indian stance on terrorism as they have (now I believe it should be ‘had’) more faith in Pakistan because Pakistan is a NATO member and after 9/11 suddenly terrorism is the biggest problem in the world in fact it was. It was a laughable matter when they divided Taliban into two groups and do you know what was that, one is good Taliban and the other one is bad Taliban. I don’t know what does it mean by good Taliban, yes it means they can torture innocent people, can torch the schools for girls, can implement Shariat law (which is I think not at all good the general Muslim people but is good for certain section of the higher Taliban society) but they will not attack U.S. and that’s why they are good Taliban. Allah save the people from U.S. and so called protector of the Islam.

This is not Gandhism Varun

There is a lot of hue and cry over the invoking of NSA on Varun Gandhi and yes I am sure that this is totally politically motivated move by the state govt. but as a responsible Indian I think it is a good decision, for the hate speech he made. There is no way one can accept this kind of hatred from a responsible leader like him. Being from a Gandhi family it made me feel uncomfortable but in this kind of political arena everybody is trying to score some points whether it is good for the people of India or not, it doesn’t matter. BJP is right in saying that Varun is not a bigger threat than Raj Thakrey or Madni but we have to start following some tough law from somewhere. There is no reason to compare a present event with some past events. If the past was wrong then you cannot follow the same past again and again but this time we have to make the present right. BJP is trying to compare the situation to that of emergency days but they are forgetting one thing that Sanjay Gandhi was the brain behind the emergency so forget about the past what we did wrong but we have to make the present and future brighter than the past.

No political party is truthful when the situation comes to their backyard. The decision made by CBI to give Tytler a clean chit from the 1984 sikh riot case made me sick. What kind of politics congress is trying to play by letting off a criminal and then demanding justice for the Gujrat riots. I can say both the major parties (BJP & Congress) have no difference and CBI is the most politicized government organization in this country. Just take the example of bofors scam and the scams happened after Kargil war. They just let off the hook from the convict and following the orders from the then respective govt. so now days nobody in this country believes that it is a independent organization. Thanks to our judiciary system which is still active otherwise our so-called social workers(Politicians) would have sold this country to foreign hands.

Being Pathan...

Cricket fans can remember Feb-10-2009 as the day of Brother's day for a long time to come.Hussey brothers forced the Kiwis to play the decider in Brisbane and Pathan brothers proved, why India are the T20 world champion. I missed the first half an hour of play and my friend Saswat told me that Irfan pathan dropped an easy chance of Dilshan.Suddenly every act of Irfan Pathan whether it was bowling or fielding was looking ordinary to me and Saswat told me not to be worried because his sixth sense was telling him that Irfan Pathan would be the key factor in this match. When India were seven down for 115, I desperately wanted his sixth sense to be true and after the match I wanted to cast him(Saswat) in place of Bruce Willis if I would be the casting director for Manoj Night Shyamalan's movie. Any way the Pathan brothers provided the best entertainment which we were longing for the past two week and deservingly big brother got the man of the match.Now the tour to the land of black caps and I hope the selectors will give them the chance in the playing eleven and I have great regard for Chika which I want to continue.

Busby Babes - Munich Disaster

In April 1955 UEFA established the European cup, a football competition for the champion clubs of the UEFA-affiliated nation but in the first league itself English league winner Chelsea denied the entry by the UEFA then something great happened in the following season. Manchester United won the English league managed by Mat Busby. They defied the league and the odds to reach the semi final of the Champions league, eventually knocked out by Real Madrid who went on to win the UEFA cup. Again they secured the entry in the UEFA cup for the next season but destiny had stored something else for them.
